Ever Reforming:
The reformation, sometimes referred to as Luther’s reformation, was not the first. His 95 thesis was nailed to the door of the Wittenberg Castle Church, October 31st, 1517, not to break the church but to reform the church, through debate. It was common to put noticed upon the gathering place of the people…. The church doors of a community.
Other reformers had issues with the church. At that time, essentially, the Roman Catholic Church. Martin’s words were printed on a press. “ In 1454 Gutenberg put his press to commercial use, producing thousands of indulgences for the Church.” https://tinyurl.com/phefe33k
Ironic that the same press that was being used to print indulgences, became the press used to protest, among other things as well, the indulgences of the Roman Catholic Church. The reformation of Luther’s time was spreading like a fire, in part, because of the printing press.
Come and hear more of the reformation of biblical times, Luther’s day and today. We are protesters, protestants, who are ever reforming. God does not change. God continues to speak to us today, in ways that change us, not God.
Hear about the dangers of a new gospel. Hear what the gospel is and how to evaluate new fads, vs the gospel of Jesus Christ. What is God’s Word vs humans words.
